Traveling frequently on business, I look for convenient, clean places with good access to the internet, airport and center city. Mercure gave me all that. The breakfast was good as well even though I wish I could take advantage of it on the last day but no way with a red eye flight.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great big rooms, easy access to metro although a little out of the centre. Rooftop pool is super cool! They often have offers, so look for these, 3 nights for price of 2 etc. I booked via booking.com and got a great deal.

The hotel is located midway between the airport and downtown. However, taxis are reasonably cheap for groups and there is a metro within 5 mins walk. There are few restaurants nearby. Spent 4 nights here while exploring Lisbon for the first time. The metro is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and can get you all over the city! The room was nice, very clean and spacious. Five star for Cleanliness, service, Value and Rooms. Three star for location if access to centre of city is paramount, but five star for proximity to Airport. Only real criticism is that room was too warm as room climate control does not offer option of warm/cool out of season. Depends on central switching based on specific date.

You can use the BUS from airport to go to the hotel. There is the underground station nearby with the direct line to the city centre. Simple breakfast and free Wi-Fi. I have noticed the cost savings...
