We enjoyed our stay her very much. The staff were all very pleasant and everything was done to a high standard. We had one of the two family suites on the top floor. 2 large bedrooms with living/kitchenette/ dining room in between. Each with joined balconies overlooking Funchal bay, with the sea lapping at the rocks directly below. Most restful. Went HB due to kids appetite !. Breakfast excellent. We stayed here as a timeshare swap. We had suite 705. All these upper floor rooms appear to be the same - two double bedrooms that have been turned into one double and a lounge with a sofa bed. Although a rather long walk from the centre of Funchal, we found this hotel catered for all our needs. The breakfast buffets were superb with plenty of choice and different items daily, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was the opportunity to sit outside if one wished. My family stayed in an apartment in March 2013. Rooms nice, well kept and with a kitchenette with the basics (but not more)l. Only drawback is that you have to pay extra for the safe. All rooms have a balcony with beautiful views. Good breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Would love to stay again.
