I visited Braganca in September 2012. The location of Pousada was the most convenient - for exploring the old part of the city and visiting the lower part. The hotel offers enough parking places. However entering the hotel and especially the room was quite disappointing. The furniture is old and looks totally different than on photos.

If you enter the parkingspot of this pousada it gives you more the idea of a private clinic or a fancy boarding school. It did not match with what most pousada's look like. This isn't a cheap place to stay, but the quality was excellent. Great view from our balcony towards over the town and the castle. The staff were friendly and efficent and the room comfortable. Only negative for us was the food: everything we ate was VERY SALTY.

We stayed there one night on our way down to the Algarve. Although the room was adequate our experience over dinner ruined the stay. Stayed here in Winter with freezing temperatures. It's just outside the city centre, but within walking distance. The pousada itself is fairly small, circa 30 rooms.
