We stayed here on the first night before we joined a Douro cruise. It was a replacement hotel but we got lucky because of the wonderful 17th floor resturant with fabulous views, great food and excellent service. The hotel was just off the centre so it was a little bit of a walk into town but not too bad. It... More

We were commencing a River trip with a night prior to embarkation in the Hotel. It is not in the Centre of Oporto but is well placed. The Hotel ambiance is excellent and the Resturant on the 17th Floor is exceptional. The quality of the food and excellent service made for a wonderful start to our holiday. The staff throughout... We arrived from the Trindade metro station in the cold and rain, walking past an unremittingly grim multi storey car park, into the the foyer of the Dom Henrique skyscraper and the initial impression was not good. The building's architectural style was redolent of 1960's Soviet Union, the furniture seemed dated, the bedroom was similarly stuck in a timewarp that... More

This hotel is very well located and the services are average. The view from the room at 8th floor was very good, but from the bar at the 17th floor it was stunning! You should'nt miss it! The romantic package is a good deal, but is average.

Very clean spotless room, polite and very helpful staff, they evern helped to seach restaurants because I was looking for Halal food. The are souvenir shops and small supermarkets nearby. Make sure you ask the hotel frontdesk to call the taxi. Taxi in streets tends to increase the fare and refuse to use meter sometimes.

Stayed here for 2 nights, in the beginning of April, with an organized group, invited by REAL COMPANHIA VELHA to visit their cellar and vineyards in Douro. If you are in the area do not miss this fantastic scenery. Check-in was quite fast and cannot comment much about the reception as we did not need them very much. The rooms... More

Booked through Expedia and stated in this hotel for a week, staff is very polite and play an important role making this hotel a great place to stay, clean tidy rooms, bright and comfortable. Hotel's included breakfast was good too, not a big selection of hot food but plenty other things with fresh fruit and sparking wine for romantic mornings.... More

We visited in Febuary and the discount was tremendous. The front desk is helpful and the location close to all the sites we were looking for. There is parking next door and arriving is almost too easy. OK, the rooms are dated but at the price we received easily overlooked. Porto is a bit up and down so be prepared... More

Very helpful staff. Good location. Great value for money, although we did get a good deal as it was February. The real draw however is the view from the bar restaurant on the 17th floor. From here you can see the whole city. As well as amazing views the service and food from the restaurant is also fantastic.

I found this hotel to be an excellent value, and it met all of my needs during my recent trip. I had stayed here once before, and returned because of the location (near Bolhao, good Metro access, nothing feels very far away), and the excellent service. We walked all over the place from this hotel. When the rain got to... More
