I stayed a couple of nights in the Griffen Hotel for a seminar. My expectations were quite high but I was really disappointed. My room, which cost -/+ € 140 per night was very basic and really needed some renovations. Also the test of the hotel, restaurant and conferencerooms needs an upgrade.

This hotel is one of the biggest on Bornholm, but was quite hard to find in the evening since the sign wasn't lit. The rooms haven't been updated for a long time, and the receptionist couldn't tell which room had an extra bed and which one didn't. The service was mediocre at best. The hotel is situated ideally in Rønne. Their view from the restaurant is nice, and the food is good and made with local produce, when possible. The rooms on the other hand are in desparate need of a total makeover, they are too dark and 70ies like. Was quite depressing.

170 USD out of season on Bornholm.... seems expensive to me, a Copenhagener. Anyway sidn't expect a lot and didn't get it either - was there on business. stayed for 1 night - wellness center closed - restaurant service really slow and unfocused - rooms like YUK!! bathroom floor with cracks and missing tiles ( how can that be cleaned ??) - showercurtain shrunk to 30 cm over floor thus getting floor soaked by showering - tv set at least 15 yrs old an only local and swedish... This is a beautiful hotel. Our stay was comfortable and roomy. Especially enjoyed the downstairs level with ping pong, billiards, weights and a exceptional massage chair.
