Service at the frontdesk was very good, but we had some problems with our room. First the room was very hot, and the only window to open was into the enclosed lobby area. And around midnight my friend was to take a shower, but there was nothing but boiling hot water coming out of the taps. We where then upgraded... More

I chose this hotel with the help of my travel agent for a few days in Copenhagen when travelling with my son, so a twin bedded room was asked for and supplied. The location is great - walking distance to the station, shops, Tivoli Gardens etc. The room was spotless and looked as though it had just been refurbished, also... More

More

Arrived late and stayed one night on a business trip (other hotels were full). Tiny old lift to 4th floor. Dark and dinghy corridor where lights only come on when you walk past a sensor. My room was at the end of a long corridor (a dead end) with an internal aspect. Despite being on 4th floor the noise from... More

Spent one night at this hotel during a business trip. Spot on location. We had a big room with nice beds, had a good night sleep. Very friendly staff that were quick and helpful. Would recommend this for business and couples. More

This hotel is located about four blocks from Tivoli and the train station, and thus is in a prime location, close to everthing. The hotel achieves its aimed-for English feel, but I am not sure this is a good thing in Copenhagen, especially since it is also feels like aged English. But, it is staffed with willing and helpful personnel,... More

Dear guest, Thank you so much for your positive comments about your stay with us. We are aware of the fact that the coffee machine is a bit of a challenge. The coffee is very good but it is often out of order. Too often... This is why we have ordered a new machine which is much more user friendly... More

If you are a tourist, passing out at night, never minding the disturbance form next door’s laughter and chat easily passing through the non-existing sound isolation or the early morning wake up “calls” from the breakfast staff or the traffic outside (if you’re unlucky enough to get a room facing “outside”, i.e. not into the atrium (double sarcasm)) and you’re... Terrible hotel, during my stay for two nights they gave me room next to a wall they we're renovating. Seemed ok to me until they starting renovating at 7:00 two days in à row. The "solution" the hotel was to offer me "a free Breakfast" which i already paid for. More

I stayed in the Kong Frederick for two nights in mid September 2011. In summary it was OK. The staff were pleasant, it’s in a good location, close to all the major Copenhagen attractions and is comfortable enough. I’ve not stayed in Copenhagen before so I can’t compare it with any other hotels, but this one didn’t have much of... More

A colleague and I shared a double room while attending a conference to control costs. We work at universities and are mindful of budgets. We knew that there probably would be two single beds, and that was fine. The fact that all doubles gave out on the atrium was something we had not realized. It was SO hot and stuffy... More
