There's not getting away from it - staying in Copenhagen is expensive especially if you want a good location, if you don't want to pay a lot then don't expect a lot. However the Savoy Hotel is an exception, the location is excellent, when you leave the station cross the road, turn right and it's a 5 minute walk. It's... More

The Savoy Hotel (don’t get fooled by the name) is a mid to low-range hotel located about a 10 minute walk from the central Tivoli gardens and the railway station; and about 30 minutes walk from Nyhaven. As such the location is good for exploring central Copenhagen. A first tip: The first thing to note is that the entrance is... More

It is basically a good hotel but quite a distance walking to the train station and the Stroget Pedestrian walking street. But it was worth the long walk! The only downside of our 5 day stay was their breakfast, which was the same variety everyday. More

The name is quite attracting, some reviews also positive, but our experience unfortunately was not so good. Booking OK, reception upon arrival OK, new elevator up to the 4th floor, then down along a narrow corridor that reminded me of the file "shining", open the door and squeeze into a 4x4m room with an edge of it built into the... Hotel staff helpful, room clean. Decoration in hotel communial areas a little shabby, could do with sprucing up. Carpet in corridor fraying in places. Photographs on way to restaurant show the hotel in its former glory. Restaurant food selection could be better, but was adequate. Room basic, but bed very comfortable & there were tea & coffee making facilities in... More

Very friendly, room clean older but well kept. Have a lr/br shower and toilet tv, coffee, breakfast for two. 850 kroner or about $160 which is not expensive here. Prices here are about double 10 years ago, walking distance from train station More

The Savoy is very close to the centre of this vibrant city. Its a short walk from the central station. The breakfast was a little busy but if you timed thing right it was a good breakfast. Rooms are quite adequate and are clean, all one needs really. More

Just 15 walking minutes from the center, this little nice hotel is quite valuable compare to the others downtown. Good breakfast included, nice clean rooms, just my bathroom was too little but I guess since I was travelling alone that the single room is little in everything. I got a good deal booking a package with a flight. I will... More

We stayed for four nights and it was an excellent choice for us. The hotel is near the train station and Tivoli Gardens. It took 30 minutes walking to Nyhavn and a little bit more to Amelienborg. Copenhagen is a great city and you can do almost everything walking or by bike (the hotel has bikes for rent). The staff... More

Abysmal - imagine rooms that are a combination of prison cell, student flat & travellers hostel; still doesn't come close to describing the Savoy. Curtains that are threadbare, paper-thin walls & carpets with indeterminate stains. Not nice. Stayed here with 20 work colleagues who all agreed it was the worst hotel they'd experienced. The hotel wouldn't even reimburse a colleague... More

Dear Guest We are very surpriced that your group was so unhappy with their stay. We asked everyone upon check out (as we always do) if they enjoyed their stay and all comments were positive. With regards to your colleague who had to cancel: She booked a non-refundable rate which means that the guest will be charged the full amount... More
