On the island of old Kalmar close walking distance to all restaurants and shops. Half of the rooms with a view of the harbor! A lot of Charm.The staff is nice and attentive The complimentary evening dinner buffet is simple but nice. Great if you don´t want to go out. I can really recommend this hotel !

This hotel can be a little hard to find at first but once you get there its in a great location just outside the old town wall walking to the castle and downtown areas. Oddly hard to find, and a bit bizarre, this was my least favorite hotel in Sweden, but it wasn’t bad. It was just super weird. Its a top notch hotel wich I really can recommend! Nice rooms in a vareity of standards from singlerooms to superior rooms. The complimentary evening dinner buffet is nicley done and tastes very nice. The staff is doing everything to make it nice and a joyable stay.

Spent two days here and no complaints at all. Clean, comfortable and good service. Lovely outlook over marina, and very good location in the town. Easy car parking and access to railway station. Older property...room looked out onto a wall. Room was large with eclectic mix of furnishings. It smelled musty and we opened all windows upon arrival but couldn't open them very far so couldn't air the room out. By the time you spend a day or two here you will have enjoyed many of the nice things about Sweden. The hotel is well-run, spotless, and the breakfast and light dinners are excellent. Fantastic hotel, great location & helpful staff. All you can wish for! ....and a big plus for free evening meal (every day). We will definately stay here again!
