I stayed at the hotel with my hubby in mid Dec. The hotel is beautyfully decorated with Christmas lightnings; very tasteful and not tacky at all. You are close to the Christmas market at Skansen and the Nordiska Museet. The surroundings are idyllic. Even though the hotell is at Djurgården, it is very easy to take the tram from the... More

I went to Hasselbacken for an overnight seminar. The conference part of the hotel (including the restaurant) is very nice and it has an old-fashioned atmosphere. The hotel rooms are modern, basic (quiet) scandinavian hotel rooms. Breakfast is the same as in almost all Scandic hotels; bread, eggs, sausages, porridge, fruits etc. The only negative thing is that the wifi... More

This hotel is located at Djurgården and thereby a bit out from the centre. Easy to get there though, summertime by boat and wintertime by tram. I recommend a stay at this hotel if you're by any other reasons going to Djurgården, visiting Skansen, Gröna Lund or a theatre at Circus. More

We (two adults and one kid, aged 2) stayed at this hotel for two nights in July 2011. The location is excellent if you are visiting Skansen, Gröna Lund or some of the great museums near the hotel, and the city center is only a short tram ride away. The hotel was clean and very quiet, the breakfast very good... More

We had business at the US embassy in Stockholm and wanted a Scandic nearby that could accomodate a family of four. We stayed one night, sunday to monday and got a fairly good price as it was both the slowest hotel night in the week, and also off season in the neighbourhood. The Hasselbacken is located just beside the Circus,... More

Who can complain when visiting Stockholm in fair weather? And if you have kids (like us, two, ages 1 & 3) and plan to visit kid/family-oriented attractions, you can't pick a better location than at the Scandic because it's like having a hotel in the middle of Disneyland. The hotel is literally right next door (Skansen), across the street (Tivoli)... More

there were 4 of us (me, wife, 2 daughters), felt not welcommed, long wait at the reception, first room wasn't that of our preferences, second one was better but "roof weiw", we were provided with baby cot only for last night. Room service don't answer the phone. Parking is expensive... Disapointment More

Firstly we arrived in central station. To get to the hotel, turn right when you exit the main door of the station and walk along Sergels Torg until you reach a fountain with a glass sculpture in the middle of it. The tram (number 7) is located behind this fountain. Get off at the Grona Lund stop and the hotel... More

The hotel is located in a nice park about 25 minutes walk from the centre (a very pleasant walk along the water). We really enjoyed the hotel location. If you are planning to drive parking is an absolute nightmare (very few expensive parking spaces and the reception ran out of discounted tickets during our visit). The building is lovely and... More
