Hotel Birger Jarl is a nice hotel with a good location in the center of Stockholm. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was fine although a bit small. Breakfast was also very good with a good selection.

If you like ikea furniture, this is the place to be. But make sure that you are traveling light because most rooms have no drawers!!!!! No bath tub either. Stayed at Birger Jarl, when visiting Stockholm for business. The hotel looks much better on the website than live. Nice reception area, but worn out hallway. The room (single room) was OK at the tops furniture nice but very crammed and non personal. All in all adequate for a one night stay but not for a longer stay.

I stayed at the Birger Jarl for one night and will gladly recommend the hotel for other to use. The location is a little off, but still within walking distance to the center and the sub is running close to the hotel. Fine rooms, good service and pleasant environment.

Stayed here and must say that the hotel was fantastic. Firstly it's not central. It's about a 2km walk from the Central Station.
