Location is wonderful, but beds are old and naples. Also street noices disturb sleeping especially in winter. Breakfast is ok and the view from 10th floor restaurant is great. More

The staff was nice and accurate. The location is really very nice, near central station and tram and bus stop, also close to airport express bus stop. The room was a bit small, and the toilet is too small. Breakfast was fantastic - a huge variety and very tasty. Wi-Fi access is very poor. There is small sauna room by... More

On our recent trip to Helsinki we stayed at 3 different hotels and found them all to be very good. Have reviewed the other 2 Radisson Blu and Fabian Hotel as well.We actually would have rebooked Fabian but they were closed on boxing day. At Sokos we booked a family room and found it very comfortable and large with nice... More

We stayed in a superior room which was spacious, clean and cosy. In the evening as we were getting ready to have some rest after a hard day we heard very!! loud music from the room next door…as we called to reception and they discovered the amount of the noise they arranged us a new room straight away and it... i stayed at the sokos vaakuna early january 2012 (for one night between connecting flights). my short stay was peaceful and enjoyable, the room was well appointed albeit small, the bed was very comfortable, many rooms on the 9th floor have balconies with a very nice view of the CBD, the old building is beautiful and quirky (inside out) and... As I mentioned in my hilton review I decided to stay her the last few nights of my trip and this for me ended it on a high note. I got a simple standard room which came with the usual super comfy bed like the one I had in Tampere. The staff were all very friendly and eager to help... More

I loved this hotel for several reasons: architecture and decoration is really cool, original 50's style. I was lucky to be upgraded to a top floor two room-suite with terrace and nice view over the neon lights of central Helsinki. Floors of oak gives a good feeling of quality. Best of all: Very comfortable bed and different sized pillows. And... More

The hotel is historlcal and it can be felt. My overall impression of the hotel was positive. The atmosphere was a bit busy, everyone seemed to hurry somewhere. The main entrance is not accessible for wheelchair. You have to ring a bell to get the receptionist to let you with the staff elevator. It wasn't such an easy thing to... More

The room was quite old, and not that nice view from the window, quite old linen and towels... breakfast was good only for those who wake up early, then you could only an empty plate and a badge that there was smoked salmon!!!! More

First make sure you have the right Sokos hotel, there are 10 of them in Helsinki. This one is right by the main railway station and thus ideal for us. Booking in was friendly and efficient, the room was spacious, we had a balcony on the 9th floor. Note they have twin beds, though i suspect the next door pulled... More
