We were in Husavik just for a short stopover( of course Whale watching) and decided to stay a night in this nice town. The hosts were very friendly and showed us both the hotel and the guesthouse. And afterwards we were very lucky that we saw the guesthouse as well. Not because of the hotel- they were renovating and the... More

I stayed in Husavik guesthouse for one night in a triple room in July 2012. The guesthouse is the former family home of the family who runs it, along wit the new Cape hotel (opened 2012) nearby. It was a family welcome with the brother in the hotel giving the key, and the sister showing the guesthouse, 500m away. The... More

A very warm welcome from the staff (who used to live in the house when she was a child) after collecting the key from the hotel just down the road. We had a pleasant, clean upstairs room next to the main lounge. Both shared bathrooms are downstairs which meant some traipsing up & down the stairs past those still in... More

It was the most expensive stay for us in Iceland, but Husavik seems to be quite expensive. The guesthouse is located about 5 min walk from the harbour and 2 min from the swimmingpool. It has free WiFi. Towels, linnen and breakfast were included. The manager and his team were very friendly. The room was very small, so we could... More

This was a lovely, tastefully decorated guesthouse in a good location. Friendly staff were very helpful in giving us recommendations. Would definitely choose to stay again!

Even though there was a mix-up with our reserved night and we were unable to stay in this Guesthouse, the owner was incredibly sweet and went through great pains to locate us the following day, apologize in person, offer us a refund, and even gave us a beautiful photography book for our troubles. This impressed us enough that we will... More

This was the most expensive guesthouse we had on our trip, but the standard was more or less the same as the rest of them. The breakfast had more to wish for. The room was quite nice and the staff helpful. Next time to Husavik we would try to find a cheaper guesthouse.

Be aware, the same owner has another house called the "Myvatn Road Guesthouse" 5 km away from town which is not as nice as everybody rates this one. We booked it because this one was full and the other was offered to us by the owner, following these reviews thinking that it would be quite alike this one but it's... More

Husavik is propably one of the towns, you’ll have to spend a night or two when you visit Iceland because it is the base for the North whale and puffin watching tours, has a lot of interesting museums and is near the Lake Myvatn. Husavik Guesthouse is a more than satisfying option for your stay. It is located five minutes... More

We stayed here in July 2011, the manager was really nice, breakfast was served upstairs in a nice cosy rooms. Bathrooms are shared but nothing to worry about - next door, very clean, either with a shower or a bathtub.
