Stayed for 4 nights. We paid for an upgrade to Sea View room which was quite expensive but worth it for the chance of seeing the Northern Lights from the room. Unfortunately we were unlucky and never saw the Aurora.Still had a great time especially on the Golden Circle tour and at the Blue Lagoon. The hotel was in a... More

We had a lovely room over looking the sea and although lovely the gem of this hotel is the staff who cannot do enough to help you. We unfortunately got stranded in Iceland due to weather at Heathrow, the staff did EVERYTHING they could to help us out and their kindness will remain with me for a long time. THANK... More

we chose this hotel after reading all the trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. it was located 5 mins from the main street of bars and restaurants and there was plenty of choice of places to eat within walking distance. useful if you have no transport although we had hired a car. the hotel breakfast was good value, plenty of... I would highly recommend this hotel for its location, friendly staff and breakfast! We were delighted with our choice of hotel for a three night break and although the rooms were not large they were more than adequate for the duration of our stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and to top it all we got to see... More

the fooshotel baron is a good decent 3 star hotel. Dont expect luxury and you will enjoy it. The rooms are basic as is the whole hotel but the staff are extremely helpful and know everything about the local area. They assist without question and are very good at their job. The breakfast is adequate and the soup in the... More

Hotel has a good location with very helpful & friendly staff. Breakfast (continental plus) good (only soup available at hotel in evening, but restaurants nearby). Cash machine one street away. 24 hr supermarket (not allowed to sell alcohol & it's VERY expensive anyway!) behind hotel (if on a budget consider upgrading to a studio room with cooking facilities as you... This hotel is conveniently situated for central Reykjavik and although the rooms are not luxurious the buffet breakfast is very good and the reception staff are brilliant and extremely helpful. You can upgrade to a studio room which gives you lots of space and a small kitchenette - worth knowing in a city where restaurant prices are high. Definitely recommended. More

Staff very friendly, rooms not huge but adequate and very clean with maid daily. Breakfast was continental stlye buffet and very good selection. Room was warm even though we went in winter and cold. Heater in the room was adjustable which was good. Decent location about 15 mins walk from city centre although bus service is nearby. Beer at bar... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Fosshotel Baron on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and a day later. It was arranged by our travel agency, we found it very sweet and convenient. First of all, the front desk service was amazing. They answered any questions we had, especially they did a good job providing information on all kinds... More

The hotel is basic but clean. The rooms are a good size in the new part of the hotel with twin beds and a kitchenette area. A good breakfast buffet with a good selection of breads, meats, cereals and drinks. The staff are super helpful. If you need somewhere good to stay with a good location near to the centre,... More
