I totally recommend Sunna for everyone who's looking for accommodation in this wonderful city. Very clean, just a few steps from the famous Hallgrimskirkja, and the rooms were so cosy. I wanted to live there =P more

This was our second time to Reykjavik, but fist time with this guesthouse. I like the location, it was right around the big Hallgrims Church. Very close to the main shopping street. Driving in and out of city was easy from this guesthouse. Wireless internet service was free. Room size was OK but bathroom was very small. Price was reasonable... more

We lucked out. We stumbled across Sunna on tripadvisor.com and took a chance. We were so glad we did. We saw the other hotels in town and Sunna was more than comparable. The rooms are plain and they pushed together two twin Ikea beds to make a "queen" for us but we were very comfortable. We even had a small... more

Hands down, this is the place to stay in Reykjavik. Excellent location, facilities, and complementary breakfast. I stayed here at the beginning and end of my trip, so I had checked in two separate times and had two different rooms, but both were clean and quiet and the shared shower and toilet were clean and worked just fine both times... more

25 Aug 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

My group of friends had one of the apartments on offer. I had the sofabed which are just as comfortable as normal beds and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The only niggles I had with it was that wireless internet wasn't available in that particular room but it wasn't a bother to go and use it in the... more

This is a great budget place. Though it's a University Dorm, it doesn't really feel like one. There are usually four rooms around a common room and kitchen, with a shared bath. But the place is spotless, carefully kept, and the furniture and such looks pretty new. It can get a bit noisy on weekends, but that's true of everywhere... more

It's a university residence during term time, which should tell you most of what you need to know. 10 minute walk from centre. Easy to find as it's next to the landmark Halgrimskirkja, visible from most of the city. Front desk open 24 hours. Unfortunately rooms are the opposite of noise-proof so people talking etc can be a problem in... more

The location within town was great - easy to walk to food, shopping and whale watching. The room was pretty basic, though clean, and the bathroom small. The shower was terrible. There wasn't enough water pressure to really wash. It took forever to shower in there. My wife had to use the shared bathroom which had better water pressure. I... more

Sunna Guesthouse is very convenient. It's just by the nice church, walk distance to the two main shoppings streets, Langavigur and skolavordustigur. The breakfast is nice. Coffee is great. The people at the reception are very friendly, happy to help you if you need so. The rooms are colourful and comfortable. more

There's so much to do in Iceland, forking out for a expensive hotel is pointless, as you won't spend much time there. Guesthouse Sunna is located by Hallgrimskirkja and so is within easy walking distance to the city centre. It's a very small city and so everything is walkable. I opted for a private bathroom and stayed for 4 nights... more
