Hilton Reykjavik Nordica is often praised for its spacious and immaculate rooms, with a breakfast selection that satisfies diverse palates. Guests have called out the welcoming vibe of the stylish common areas, though opinions differ on room modernity. While staff interactions are generally positive, highlighting their helpfulness, there have been mentions of occasional disorganization. Despite some concerns over value due to high food costs and its distance from the city center, the hotel's location is still deemed convenient by guests for exploring Reykjavik and beyond.

Pro tip: This hotel does not budge on check in times. If your flight lands at 6am it will not give you access to the room until 3pm firm. Even if you ask and offer to pay for early check in. If you have an early arriving flight buy the night before if you are able.

We drove to Hilton Reykjavik Nordica and easily found a parking space at the back of the hotel. Check-in was smooth and we were recognised as Hilton Diamond members and upgraded to a Twin Executive Plus Room. The room was was extremely spacious and had a lovely view of Reykjavik Bay and Mount Esja. The room was fully equipped and had ample storage space, it was ideal for our short stay. The bathroom was large with a full size bathtub and powerful shower, a small range of toiletries were provided. We had access to the Executive Lounge which was of good size with a varying range of seating styles. During happy hour there was a full drink service as well as a generous food offering. We had breakfast in the morning which was very good, the buffet selection was more than ample. We enjoyed our stay at Hilton Nordica as it was extremely comfortable, the staff members were attentive and proactive and it was very convenient for Central Reykjavik which is a short drive from the hotel.

We stayed here for four nights in February. The rooms are clean, crisp, and comfortable. The bathroom had all the things. We ate dinner in the bar one night and had appetizers - outstanding. The bartenders were fun and very attentive. But honestly, the breakfast... it was THE BEST breakfast spread we have ever encountered. Local cheeses, smoked salmon, fresh sourdough bread, eggs any way you wanted, sausage, bacon, fruit, coffee, juices... you name it. The hotel is not that close to the old town but it was convenient for traveling and just wonderful. I'd give it a six if I could.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Hannah, Julia and John (all at the front desk), in particular. When I say they went above and beyond, it’s an understatement! I arrived without definitive plans, as I wanted to check weather, etc., and also maximize my time to hit all the sights on my list. Hannah did extensive research for me in the daytime, she was so patient with all of my requests and inquiries. She also sent me links to all the tour companies/options I would like to choose from so I could do direct bookings from my cell, once I decided. She checked availability AND she even called me w/an emergency reminder when she saw that all the tours I wanted became sold out, except 1 seat left. That was exceptional, and I got it in! In the evenings, when I returned, Julia happily looked up so many different activities for me, based on the activities I still wanted to do, the time I had left, etc. She did this when I returned late each night, after a Northern Lights tour, etc., and hoping to join another tour each AM. She’s so very nice and accommodating, also VERY patient. She is absolutely wonderful! John, who was also on in the evening, and offered me really great tips, as well. So much so, that I am already planning my return in May. Even though Julia was helping me, John would also offer up ideas, and suggestions, as well. All 3 were super informative, professional, and very nice. I’ve traveled extensively throughout the world, and I’ve never been so impressed with such wonderful guest service relations, as I experienced with these 3 staff members. I don’t think I’ve ever done a hotel review in my life! Of course, I’d like to mention the staff at the spa, especially the evening of the 22nd. I had very little time to enjoy the facility and the gal there at 7:15pm was responsive to my frustration that it didn’t stay open later. She brought me a beverage in the hot tub to “buy” me a few more minutes in the water, which I really appreciated. And the gal in the executive lounge went out of her way the evening of the 23rd and 24th to make sure there were vegetarian sandwiches for me~she was also very nice and accommodating. I had a wonderful stay, and I especially want to thank Hannah, Julia, John, with whom I had numerous interactions, and connected me w/awesome tours at the last minute. Extremely excellent service….Thank you!

We arrived early to the hotel 6:45am and thank goodness we were able to get a room for a fee of $35. Unfriendly service from the beginning of our trip. Next since we had an overnight flight from NY we decided let’s get the breakfast from the hotel. YUCK!!! For about $35 you can have a buffet style breakfast. The scrambled eggs tasted fake. The coffee was bad, don’t get me started at the not so fresh smoked salmon. I ended eating two pieces of toast and a bowl of oatmeal. Hilton is one of my favorite places to stay but not this time or place. The room had dust balls all over the floor around the chairs and when you walked with socks you see them attached like a dry swiffer. Clearly, housekeeping is questionable to say the least.

Very good hotel, easy to reach and with the sightseen bus stop just in front of it. Not in the center, but easy to reach. Staff friendly and polite, and helpful too. Rooms are quite new and with all the needed amenities. Just check if the dispencers are full in the shower (we run out of conditioner in the middle of a shower...)

Excellent business-style hotel in Reykjavik, with anything the frequent traveler may need, plus great views from top floors. The Hilton Nordica Reykjavik has a great restaurant (VOX), bar, spa/fitness, nice rooms, and a superb manager in the front desk, Mr. Tryggvi, who gave me one of the best welcomes I have had in many years as a Hilton Diamond member. It was my second stay and I have booked a third.

As a longtime Hilton honors member I tend to stay at Hiltons due to the loyalty perks, so I chose the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica for our 4 night stay in Iceland. The hotel was very nice, free breakfast as a diamond member was very good with a lot of choices, and we were upgraded to room 920 which was very nice and provided nice views. Jon at the front desk who worked the evening shift was very nice and helpful on multiple occasions. The location was our only complaint. Not very convenient to downtown, definitely walkable but about 1 to 2 miles to Rainbow Street and the main sights and restaurants of Reykjavik.

The hotel in general was very nice. The rooms were clean, the food was good and the staff was very pleasant. Our stay included breakfast at the on-premise restaurant, Vox so we took advantage of that each morning. The selection at breakfast was quite varied from multiple egg dishes along with breakfast meats (bacon and sausage) and potatoes and pastries. There was also a variety of breads along with meats and cheeses. Coffee was delicious and always well stocked. We also ate dinner at Vox one of the night we were there and the food was delicious. We especially would like to thank Hanna at the front desk. There was some confusion on our part about the time we needed to be in the lobby for the Golden Circle Tour that we had booked. When we went to the front desk to see if the bus had already stopped at the hotel, Hanna took it upon herself to contact the tour operator and assess the situation. While we had missed the bus, Hanna was able to work with the tour operator to get us a seat on the next tour. This was on our last day in Iceland so thanks to Hanna, we were able to see some of the most beautiful sites you can see in Iceland. The location of the hotel was good as well. We took four tours while in Iceland and for all but one, we were picked up at the hotel. The starting point for the other tour, a walking food tour of Reykjavik, was only a short taxi ride to downtown. The hotel was also a short taxi ride Hallgrímskirkja Church. If you visit Hallgrimskirkja, make sure you go up in tower to see a 360 degree view of Reykjavik. We also would like to thank the rest of the staff at the hotel. I forgot to check the in-room safe like I normally do before checking out and left behind a digital camera. It occurred to me as we were on the bus to the airport. We contacted the hotel and they found the camera and shipped it back to us. Thanks again to everyone at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica
