We loved the Semiramis. A bit faded but lots of old world charm, in Platres, which is the Cypriot equivalent of the Indian hill stations. Generously sized and comfortable en suite room, outdoor seating amongst the pine trees if it's hot, a comfy lounge/bar if it's cool. Very welcoming, friendly and attentive staff. Very friendly cat from next door on... More

Nice old Edwardian building in the mountains, surrounded by tall pines, with views right down towards the coast. Built into the hillside with spiral staircase down to the breakfast room and terrace. Kind and helpful proprietors. Decent breakfast. On the downside we didn't feel our room had been converted very sympathetically or laid out thoughtfully. The bathroom was a bit... More

We stayed here for three nights at the end of October with the intention of getting in some walks and Byzantine churches. It's really well located for access to the summit and town of Troodos, and there's a nice waterfall walk nearby. The churches are quite spread out and difficult to drive between wherever you stay, but this hotel is... More

Stayed for one night - would have liked to stay longer. Very quiet (late September - only one other couple there). Friendly owner and staff. Tasty local water to drink! Comfortable bed and very clean. Beautiful view from the window in room 4. Breakfast quite good although catered for meat eaters as standard. Parking free. Good base to go for... More

Stayed at Semiramis Hotel for a weekend with my family. The location is very good, the building is renovated, clean and beatiful. Although my personal opinion is that they could have done a better job with the furniture in the rooms, maybe making the effort to make them feel more like a holiday mountain house instead of a hotel. Excellent... More

We stayed at Semiramis last weekend and IT WAS JUST PERFECT. Niki and Mr. Iakovos made us feel right at home. Breakfast is simple but being in Platres you do not really need that much to eat. During the summer you can sit outside to have your breakfast and during the day read a book or even play cards. During... More

We have been to Platres many times, mainly on day trips by car when being in Cyprus. For the first time this year decided to stay for a couple of nights. After searching online, we came across The Semiramis hotel website. Booking was very easy. When we arrived at the hotel we were met by Niki who was very pleasant.... More

The “Semiramis” is one of my favourite Hotels in Platres. I have come here the previous year when it was under the supervision of Agi Iacovides the Hotel owner but Niki, Agi’s sister is running it this year. The hotel is situated in Pano Platres – a very popular mountain resort. Semiramis Hotel attracts guests the year round because many... More

A group of friends joined me in celebrating my birthday weekend, we stayed at the Semiramis hotel having seen it recommended on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed, the family who run the hotel were very welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay there as special as possible. They welcomed us with coffee and tea and even baked... More

We stayed in Semiramis only for one night in March, 2011.. It is a family run hotel with very nice and friendly people. It was quite cold when we checked in and Jack (One of the old owner) gave us an extra heater to keep the room warm. Breakfast is made fresh and served in a very nice living room..surely... More
