Good location, 15 min walk to downtown. The room was avg at best. It was dark with little in the way of lighting. The staff was grumpy even German and Austrian standards. Free parking but WiFi only in the breakfast area and the staffed looked put out when I had to ask them for the username and password.

Rooms are ok. But there is so air conditioning, no wifi, they are noisy... Too noisy but the most amazing thing of this hotel is that the owners hate their job! Never met so unfriendly people! They must have a very sad life! Breakfast poor...hard bread but at least there is nutella.

Salzburg hotels are a little expensive so three-star Hotel Ganslhof is good value - about EUR 90 per night for B&B. It's spotlessly clean and has a well-tended garden, also plenty of off road parking. ...but the bedrooms are a bit dated and don't appear to have changed since the early 80s. However our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Plentiful car parking and a few minutes' walk from the centre and the excellent Weisse brewery pub. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and friendly staff on hand.
