A complete let down. This hostel is a student halls. There is no kitchen, the rooms smell like an old church. It has the atmosphere of an old mental asylum. No common area so impossible to meet others. Stay away! However the location is nice.

I was there for a conference and stayed there cause it was close to the university. I wouldn't stay there again. Toilets were smelly and communal showers provided no privacy. I was surprised by having towels tho.

This converted dorm is clean and I slept well, but there were several downsides - (1) no elevator...the 6th floor was quite a long schlepp after a full day on the train (2) showers are in one large room with no partitions so one feel pretty exposed (3) internet is quite costly and very slow (4) lots of students drinking... Cheap for Vienna but rather basic, just a bed on the 4th floor and no lift/elevator.. handy location and nice staff

I paid only 25euro for a single room, but it was worth more than that. It is a student accomodation, so everything was basic, but it was just enough.
