We are in a Jr. Suite-lovely! There were no bellman to assist us with our luggage as we exited a taxi. Just arrived and feeling refreshed after a long bath. There is some sort of protest or focus outside with clapping and people gathering. Don't understand a word!

Perhaps I've been spoiled by the boutique hotels. Orbitz gave a good price on the air plus hotel, including the Grand Hotel, and I went for it. It's another big old hotel with tour groups. The Grans Hotel is conveniently located. When you walk out onto Karl Johans Gate there is a good feel. Vibrancy without a crushing crowd. The hotel is indeed grand.
