Stayed for two nights and got a room in a side building across the street. It smelled cigarette smoke in the hallways, the curtain was ripped, the lighting was poor as one had to turn of the bed light at the entrance door. Although the room looked clean it smelled funny. Breakfast was good though

Service at arrival and departure was good. Reception staff was helpful with regards to pointing out attractions nearby. The hotel room itself was average, or slightly below. Two old hotels across the street from one another constitute one hotel owned by the apparently very unrpofessional Bergen Hotel Group, With a confusion of receptions, lobbies and restaurant. One of the better Scandic hotels. In 3 different buildings and all different. They offer a gym in the huge gym across the street, which is excellent with an olympic size pool. Breakfast simple but good.
