The hotel has been beautifully restaured maintaing all its historical details. It offer a great reception area where to rest and have tea or coffee whenever one returns from the cold. The hotel is in a great location in walking distance to the city centre, and offer a good service. Great breakfast. The room (double room with two single beds)...

An ideal location if you travel by train. Take right exit from train station, next to luggage lockers, across the street, and there you are. And Bergen downtown is not big, it'll take only a few mins walk to Torgalmenningen.
Hotel dates back to 1928, a time when every hotel in Norway of some standing called themselves Grand. Spacious bar...

This hotel was occupied by the German officers during the second world war and they took very good card of it. It has a grand large sitting room with coffee/tea served all the time and a bar in the corner. Great place to read or rest after a full day of sightseeing. The front desk people were very friendly and...

The reception is old fashioned english style, and the hotel has an amacing whisky bar. The main drawback is the tiny rooms (particularly the tiny bathrooms) with the narrow beds. Good, central location though. Congress facilities are ok but not magnificent.

This hotel is an absolute gem. It is not cheap - but then, nothing is in Norway, and at least here I felt I was actually getting value for money. Highlights: the usual tiny and functional Scandinavian bathroom but with lovely underfloor heating (so important for a January visit), absolutely stunning breakfast (drinking yogurt! artisan breads! meats and fish! not...

Situated directly across the road from train station the Grand Terminus is about a 10 minute walk from Bryggen harbour and the shops. Breakfast was OK - perhaps could start before 6:45am for those on business. No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms but a 24hr complementary supply in the bar instead. Nice rooms in general although some of...

How could we not rate this hotel 5 star. We had chosen this hotel purely on the closeness of the railway station as we had a very early train trip to Oslo. We were surprisingly upgraded to the Royal Suite, where royalty had actually stayed. The bathroom was huge and had a beautiful spa bath in it. We were in...

Location very good (just across the street from the railway station), breakfast ok. Bathroom not ok, very old and a bit smelly. Also both pub and restaurant closed on Sunday - I had to walk some distance for food and drink.

I really like the idea of the hotel: old world lodging with the modern touch.
Room was (kind of) stylish but the bathroom was not stylish at all. It needs some renovation. It is not very nice when, during the shower whole floor is flooded with water – there is no barrier dividing shower with the rest of the small...
