The Hostel has a superior location: it is right at the bottom of the hill with the steps from where you can get a fantastic view of Alesund. We got a big room for 6 people with bunker beds. Room was really old, musty and dirty; stains on mattress and linens... Definitely overpriced. We had a kitchen in our room that violated all sorts of health and safety codes, I am sure. Interesting Jugend-style building. Rooms spartan but adequate. Sparkling white sheets provided. Friendly and helpful staff and free internet access. Ideal, quiet location.
