We didn't stay here, just dropped in mid-afternoon to have a drink and get warm after we left a nearby glass-blowing studio on Moloveien St. Very friendly & welcoming staff, pleasant view of the harbor from the restaurant/bar.

A lot of noise at night time. Heard everything the neighbours was talking about..... We are scandic members, but didnt get our free newspaper. Scandic Alesund is located at a very good spot in the harbour area of downtown Alesund. On the same street, the city's most famous fish restaurant Sjoboa is located, so finding a place for dinner is easy. A hotel located next to the sea and in the centre of Ålesund. A nice double room with a good workspace plus 2 lovely relax chairs with the view both towards the city and the seaside. Breakfust and restaurant in good condition, Good service when checking in and out. Worth teh money spent

The building does not look too exciting from the outside, but the waterfront location is very good. Inside the hotel has all the trimmings you would expect from a 4 star business hotel. At weekends rooms rates can be very interesting for tourists too. Good breakfast buffet; gym and sauna on the lower floor look out over the harbour

Well, first of all, this hotel is classified as a 4star hotel. I strongly disagree with this. In my opinion it is an average 3star hotel for many reasons: Customer service, food variety, food quality, room comfort, room conditions, ability to deal with problems.
