I stayed at The Queens to celebrate the New Year with two other lady friends. I had the single room on the first floor which was a very good size and the bathroom even bigger with a walk in shower. Lovely wide stair cases and the stained glass window on the first floor landing was breathtaking. A lovely old Hotel... More

Caught in rain by Eastbourne pier, we stepped in here as it had huge ad for Teas in front window. Reception staff rudely told us teas were off out of season, but he had no intention of covering his sign. Front area looked pretty tired & tatty. We went elsewhere (excellent Belgian Cafe further along the parade) & won't be... More

Firstly, yes the hotel is old, but it is still elegant and charming. The staff and the service was very very good. But the best bits are the antics of some of the fellow guests. I love to people watch. I must say that some of the things that the older guests do and requests they make of the staff... More

We stayed for three nights from 27th October and had a great time. Yes the hotel is old but thats the beauty of it. We had a sea view room that was a lot larger than many other rooms we have stayed in. It was clean and comfortable, a large double bed, dresser, two comfy chairs so what if it... More

Just come back from a pretty eventful trip to this hotel. The staff were friendly, it was clean, great location, plenty of parking. The place has a 'Phoenix Nights' feel to it, with the average age of the guests about 75 and complete with lounge singer. However, the whole place just needs investment. Decor was very old as were the... More

Great hotel at reasonable rates. * You have to check out the giant gold-framed mirrors in the Lounge! * Try to get Room 528 - the view along the coast is breathtaking. We were lucky and got that room on our first stay at Queens. As for the rest, the car parking is good, staff very polite and helpful, breakfast... More

I liked Eastbourne very much but not the Queens Hotel. This Hotel is very big I had a single room but not a nice room. I overlooked the Coach Parking Bay not that it mattered what did matter was the cleanliness of the room which left a lot to be desired. The food was good various hot if needed to... More

We have just returned from a Alfa Coach holiday staying at the Queens Hotel, which is rated as a 2* AA Hotel. I have stayed in several hotels around the country at higher star ratings, which should have been less. The Queens should be rated higher than 2 stars!!!! Upon arrival, our cases were brought upto our rooms, even though... More

We booked this hotel through Alfa for 7 days from 26th June & paid extra for a sea view room requesting a top floor if available. What we got when we arriveD was a room on the lower floor with scaffolding & scaffold boards outside our window with builder’s materials. Found a condom in the room. I immediately went to... More

We are so sorry that you were so disappointed with the room you were allocated. As you are aware you only booked 4 days prior to departure and rooms are always allocated in booking order. Essential work had to be undertaken which involved erecting scaffolding to access the exterior of the building and this was unfortunately still in place when... More
