We booked a last minute break at The Iris Hotel which cost £98 for 2 nights B & B in a sea view room. Like other people we decided to ignore some of the reports on this hotel and trust our judgement glad we did. The Hotel is in a great position on the Promenade, the room was clean and... More

The location is ideal being situated on the front of the promenade just across and up a little from the bandstand if you are familiar with Llandudno, a great central base. It is very good value for money. Parking is free outside the hotel on the road from 4pm until 10am in the morning, but a small charge is payable... More

We booked a last minute stay at The Iris Hotel and for a one night cost of £29.50 was pleasantly surprised with how nice the place was after reading some quite bad reviews. The room was very clean with a nice size bathroom. Parked right outside and so useful in the location for the seafront and shops. Breakfast was okay... More

It really riles me to read rubbish reviews for hotels that offer all the basics you require for a short break away for a decent price. The Iris Hotel is situated in an ideal space halfway up the sea front. Faor enough there is no parking other than on the front or sidestreets but this is stated when you book... More

Thank you very much for your comments, in regards to the bar, we are in the progress of designing the bar to have it upstairs in our tv lounge and hopefully it will be constructed for the summer period, it will then also be available to customers and the public alot later than 9pm also. I totally agree with your... More

After passing an untidy entrance, you are checked in with a clumsy system of badly photocopied forms and given a broken key card. The reception and public areas are newly refurbished and generally tidy . Our bedroom was comfortable and modern but some aspects of the cleaning are left to be desired , especially in the bathroom which was a... More

Dear Customer, We apologise for our misgivings during your stay at the Iris Hotel, the "photocopied forms and broken card key" were there due to our computer systems breaking down and so the only way to operate during this period was copying existing forms. The card keys were also affected and so we had to use our old versions of... More

booked the honeymoon suit, did not get the swans on the bed, or anything i had requested. The champagne was warm and got told that they dont bring breakfast to your room even though it clearly says "also breakfast in bed is available" on the website. Arrived at the hotel and the receptionist was moody and didnt answer the questions... More

Arrived at the hotel on the 27/04 2013 had booked a room in the annex building and has suggested you did not get a sea view, that was not a problem but the fact that I was faced with the alternative of a untidy yard, with shopping baskets I now wish I had avoided it. This was not the only... More

Booked as last minute for 2 night business trip. Impressed by description and of being business friendly. I booked an annex room as I really didn't need a view, I was going to be working. The entrance to the annex was,as mentioned in other reviews, a little odd, they really need to sort the external door out. I wasn't happy... More

Had a great stay. Would stay here again. Rooms modern and clean. Breakfast was ok. The location was the best thing for us straight walk down from train station. Would recommend this hotel good value for the price.
