There is nothing grand about the Grand, in fact, everything about this hotel is not grand at all, and it’s cheap except for the room rate (£125pn). Its tragic that this Grand Old Lady had fallen into such disrepair. We have just spent three nights here. Our room was very small and reasonably clean, but sad! A group of friends (3 couples) stayed for a 1 night break on 21/04/13. The hotel is an impressive old building with creaking floor boards and high ceilings.
