Very good value as I managed to get £65 rate and managed to get an upgrade. Nice spacious room with Big flat screen TV, which worked well. Nice hot shower. Welcomed at reception with a glass of wine in the evening, then offered a cup of coffee on the way out in the morning - nice touches and appreciated. Food... More

The standard Holiday Inn set up so you know what you are getting and the room quality is always okay. The hotel is some distance from the rail station and a taxi from the station will cost about £8. As there appeared to be little choice close by we decided to eat in. Food was very ordinary although I do... More

Not sure why this hotel is so far out of town, as it is not close to any big business parks, although you are right on the A14, which is useful. This hotel is for business people, a conference was on when we stayed [one night], and everything there was organised around this. The rooms are fine, quite spacious, and... More

This hotel in nothing special but clean, and this may be picky but I am a business traveller and spend a lot of nights in Holiday Inn's - this is the only one that never upgrades my room. It is the normal policy of HI to upgrade, on my last visit they told me the restaurant was not open because... More

Spent 1 x night @ hotel and no complaints whatsoever, dont normally write review for UK hotels but something made me want to say this is certainly one of the better HI hotels I've stayed in. I was there on a subsidised rate for the UK cyclo cross championships, so was even more pleased at the £50 I paid inc... More

Get what you pay for and this Holiday Inn is one of the more dated properties in the portfolio. Fine for a one night stay but you don;t get any luxurious feel. Then again, I paid £65 a night so xcellent value. More

Nice, slick reception service and a faultless stay throughout. As a platinum Priority Club member, I was upgraded to an executive room. The usual bug bear is that of the bed head wall needing a thorough dusting. The fact that it's painted orange and lit by down lighters gives the game away and freaks asthmatics such as myself. Food in... More

£90 for a small double for one night on business . Hotel layout involves walks down long corridors. Walls etc showing signs of wear. Room was clean and comfortable.
