We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a brilliant location, right on the sea front. We had a stunning sea view through the huge sash windows in our room and it was lovely falling asleep to the sound of the waves. We were probably the youngest couple there by about... More

This COULD be a super hotel. The good points: It's a brilliant setting; the staff were great; the bed linen was spotless. The rest: the hotel is jaded and faded. We were accommodated in the York Suite, which is 25m along the road from the hotel entrance, with its own front door. The carpets leading to the room had not... More

Very nice hotel, lovely to have a beautiful view of the sea from our bedroom window. The place was spotless, the food was very good and the staff were very helpful at all times. Having stayed a few times before will definitely be returning again.

We booked a coach holiday break and were delighted to be taken to this hotel. It's an old and quirky building, decorated in traditional style, well maintained though slightly shabby in places. We stayed in wet and windy March and were happy to be staying in this lovely warm hotel with its helpful and friendly staff. Our room was on... More

Another lovely short stay here-always wish it could be longer! It is like being wrapped in a warm and comfortable duvet. Every member of staff is friendly and helpful, our room was neat and tidy and tastefully furnished, and the sound of the sea was outside our window! The food is consistently good and well presented. We always look forward... More

We have holidayed for years around Sidmouth and this is the first time of staying in a hotel there. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay on the 1st and 2nd of March (my birthday). The staff were very friendly and helpfull, serving our afternoon tea in the room so we did not have to leave our dog alone,... More
