Peasholm park is the home to the famous Naval Battle; which if not already seen is an interesting way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in the high season.
Otherwise the park is generally well maintained with lots of well kept flower beds and a lovely Chinese walkway/garden in the middle of the lake accessible via a bridge.

Went on the pedalos. It was pleasant although on the downside was dismayed to see lots of beer cans & drinks bottles in the lake. The whole area could do with a good clean as the footpaths are filthy with goose poo!! The pedalo was okay but was a little pricey.

found this little gem by chance.. so near north of the town and oppisite the beautiful peasholm park.. cozy rooms,comfy beds ( fab clean sheets )..very yummy breakfast and a lovely host,, warm relaxed cozy hotel.. we will return.....
