What can we say? This little hotel is a real gem and it restores our faith in the british hotelier. High standards of comfort and cleanliness and exemplary food need not be expensive. You don't have to go to some of the so called four star places with staff who don't care or mind.

Can't speak highly enough of this hotel.High standards are set by Julie and Alex in all departments. The Alexander is cosy and spotless , the evening meals are delicious and the breakfast sets you up for the day.We've just returned from a short break but wish our stay had been longer.

Spacious room with pristine decor. Breakfast and evening meals were scrumptious, and Julie and Alex made us truely welcome. Many places of interest to visit, by footfall or car, from coastal resorsts to moorlands or monuments. Looking foreward to meeting fellow guests again on our next visit.
