It appears that this hotel is no longer functioning. Sad because it represented good value for money and had good family facilities. I am unable to contact anyone to establish whether it is closed for refurbishment or what? Can anyone verify?

I visited this hotel to have a meal and find out if my dog would be allowed. The staff were very rude. The hotel looked nice and clean, but with staff like that I would not stay. Very busy bar which is more like a night club.
We stayed here for a scooterclub event in october. There were over 20 of us staying here so we had a very cheap rate. As previous posters have mentioned the hotel looks very dated. It needs a serious refurbishment. I f you are used to staying at a holiday inn or similar then this places wont be for you. Everything...

This review is about the carvery they serve to the passing public and i can only say ive never had anything like it it was dreadful, £15.95 for 2 people was paid at the bar along with our drinks, we found some where to sit then was met by all the food covered in foil and no one to serve...

We went to the Beach Hotel for a carvery as the price seemed reasonable. On entering, the hotel seemed very quiet and almost empty. There was no one to greet us at first and we had to stand around wondering if we would be served. Eventually the land lady ( i assume) came to greet us and take our hard...

This hotel is excellant for families as the staff are helpful and children friendly. The situation is ideal being next to the steam railway, a bus stop that will take one over many places in and around Exmoor and, across the road, plenty of sea (when the tide is in) and sand.I noticed that any troublesome individuals were required to...

While traveling around the area I notice that Carvery meals were popular in this area, in fact one could call it the Carvery Coast .Deciding to enter the spirit of this culinary culture we went into the Beach Hotel for a Carvery meal. It was dire to say the least, the roast spuds were horrible and what could be easier...

I didn't stay in the hotel, but we were warmly welcomed for dinner. The staff were lovely, and because they recognised us after we'd been going there for a few days they always asked us about our day. The carvery was brilliant, being self-serve. I highly recommend the beef, potatoes and yorkshire puddings, so try and get a big helping!
Coach holiday with National Holidays in July/August 2012.
Good location, right opposite the West Somerset Railway, and a few minutes walk to any attractions, shops and so on. No lift but no problem for us. Room ok, not luxurious but then again we weren't expecting that. Functional is the word with everthing you need for a few days. Had a...
