STAY AWAY... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY...... A budget hotel this may be.... But this is below budget... Furniture looked like it had been eaten by a dog, 💩 stains on bed, 3 inch dust on bedside lamp, carpets filthy and minging, laundry in reception area and leaves that looked like it hadn't been swept for months. The only saving grace was the guy on reception... He was friendly and evidently upset that we checked out 10 mins after arriving. DISGUSTING, FILTHY AND RUN DOWN

This hotel is VILE. Brown stains in the bed, the carpet, the walls. Blood spatters in various places. Heater looked like it had been on fire. Curtains were stained and had rips in them. Furniture chewed by an animal. STINKS of stale fags and urine. The bath was mouldy and rusty. Checked out as soon as we checked in. Food on the floor in the hall ways. Bedding dumped in piles of leaves in the lobby. Wasn’t safe for my 11 month to be crawling round the room let alone 3 disabled adults being cramped up in a dark, filthy, smelly room. No wonder the carpark was empty.

I'd think twice about staying here I'd it re-open as a hotel as for last couple of months has been housing asylum seekers. G4S have taken over the whole hotel since the summer and all 28 rooms house asylum seekers.

Stayed for 6 nights the staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable, we asked for a fridge in room and there was one. Clean towels provided daily. On entry to the premises you could tell it needed updating in decor and carpets. The room we was given also needed updating. There was a large chip in the bathroom sink. The mastic around the bath was black. the shower was fixed to the wall above bath. Shower curtain needed replacing. Room carpet was worn. Over board signs on walls throughout about smoking.(which has been banned since 2007) . Yes the rooms are low cost but surely a standard should be set. other budget hotels are in a lot better standard and up keep. I am not surprised locals have a name for this hotel!

Booked a family room but when I arrived it was a double bed and a travel cot: so my 4 year old ended sleeping in with me. They were kind enough to provide a travel cot with a pillow but no blanket??? So the baby ended up with me also and any parent who knows this meant very little sleep for me. There were no seats to sit on only a metal fold away One, a microwave and a kettle! So after travelling over 4 hours to get there that’s what I was given. Too tired to argue for another room after I’d dragged all my stuff, the baby and 4 year old up the stairs to our room I just made do with what I had. The water stopped half way through my shower luckily I wasn’t washing my hair so just gave up! No facilities for breakfast or if there was I wasn’t offered any. Had a poorly baby through the night with bad reflux and the lack of seating meant I could only sit on the floor with him to try and console him. There was a general smell of weed in the building. Had I been staying for more than one night I’d have probably been a little less tolerant but as it was I was tired after a long day driving so put up with it. The two members of staff I met were lovely though. Weird place for a hotel, nightmare to get out the car park as you have to edge out a little bit to avoid cars swinging in as they seemed to do fast. My advice to all who think of using this hotel would be to pay a little extra and stay in the premier inn up the road. What I saved in price I lost in sleep and comfort. Bed was lumpy pillows weren’t comfy either. Overall it’s a bit of a dump and not very pleasant way to spend £42! …

Booked a room when family came to stay. Good sized family room, with 3 beds provided to sleep 4. Clean and tidy basic room, that was great value for money. No dining facilities on site, but a Starbucks is adjacent, as is a petrol station with well stocked shop. Miller and Carter restaurant immediately opposite. Have already re-booked for next visitors. The staff were friendly and helpful.
