Stayed at this hotel as it is in good driving distance from Manchester Airport as we had an early flight. The rooms are very basic and not the most hygienic but I can deal with this. The biggest issue was the amount of noise coming from outside due to it being a service station. The trucks outside were continuous throughout... More

Stayed here for two nights while visiting relatives in the area. Room was basic as you expect from a Travelodge but clean and comfortable, warm and quiet. The guy on the front desk (Alex) was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again as its handy for a basic place to sleep when travelling in and around... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, very impressed for value for money, rooms where spotless and cleaned to a high standard , my job as an inspector of a 4star hotel located nationally brings me to see rooms well below the standards here and the chamber maids where very freindly top marks for there hard work, location is a little noises... I can't understand why some reviews are so negative. The hotel is cheap, cheerful and while it's not The Ritz it doesn't pretend to be. I paid £26 and what I got was a clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower/bath, TV and tea/coffee facilities. Some reviewers have commented on the noise - well, I had a room overlooking the lorry... Very clean and only paid £19 for family of 4. Very dog friendly. Wh smith, burger king and eateries all within walking distance inside. Extra pillows not a problem. Staff helpful and friendly. Offer on breakfast when travelogue key shown.

Stayed due to snow in March 2013 while driving from Belgium to Belfast. Pulled in late at night. The staff were friendly and they had a room. The room itself was old, shabby but clean. Bed was not comfortable and the facilities were very poor. The fact it is in a service station should give you an indication of what... More

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms were clean, warm and well looked after in terms of not being tired. There is no restaurant but the offer of a breakfast box, I skipped this however as there is somewhere to eat upstairs at the service station which is fine. The staff at the Travelodge were friendly and helpful, quickly identifying... More

The entrance to the hotel is actually inside the service station building itself (not next to it as I thought). This slight novely aside I found it a fairly drab example of a Travelodge. On the plus side, it was a good sized room and the shower was also genuinely quite good, which is rare for a cheap hotel. It... More

At the tail-end of a very long and stressful drive back from London in pouring rain I decided that I needed to crash for the night. The decor of this Travelodge is a bit tatty and tired but my room was clean. I would have liked a chain on the inside of the door for extra security, and better double-glazing... More
