We recently stayed at his Travelodge to visit relatives in Halifax. It was well situated, and was part of a complex in old woollen mills, with good parking. Our "family room" was large, but we would have struggled to use the sofabed given it was placed so close to the double bed. The bathroom was fine, but no bath mat.... More

Booked a family room to stay 3 nights with wife and 2 year old son. Not too bad. Without going too much into detail, I would advice not to go for breakfast in house unless you have no alternative. Not worth the money. I would rate the staff 4/10. Next visit, don't mind paying a bit more to look for... More

Stayed at travelodge halifax while attending a wedding with two children so had booked a family room. First impressions were good, great location very friendly receptionist who immediately appologised for the view which since we were on fifth floor suprised me but on inspection she was right to appologise metal bars and a great up close view of a generator.... I stayed here for one night on a business trip, The hotel is cheap and cheerful, so you get what you pay for. The car park is a public car park so you have to pay for it from 9AM. Best move the car or pay at a pay station to avoid fines. It actually quite cheap to park there... More

Firstly, if finances are most important, £30 something per night is pretty cheap. For myself, I would rather pay a bit more and have some comfort and heating in a hotel. I stayed here for 1 night and it was fine. Bring your own shower gel, shampoo and hair dryer though - I didn't - opps. Room was clean. Could do with 2 pillows each instead of one but oh well.
