We stayed for a pleasurable three nights in the Superior Double room on the first floor at the Merivon. The owner Jane was really lovely and most helpful. The breakfast was fantastic with a tasty veggie option. The Guesthouse is spotlessly clean and the room was light and airy with a very large comfy bed. I was very impressed by... More

We go the Merivon a couple of times a year it just gets better, all the rooms are excellent and have everything you need. The superking beds are very comfortable. The breakfast choice is brilliant, you can have cereal, fruit and yoghurt, kippers, then theres the full english followed by toast. Jane the owner is very helpful. If you are... More

Excellent, would highly recommend. Extremely friendly and helpful. Guest house is very clean and the room spacious and well appointed. Just off Great Yarmouth front therefore ideally situated for both the sea front and the town centre. Would not think twice about stay here again.

This is a tradional B&B in that it looks and feels like your staying in the owners house. I can see why some would not enjoy this but I was comfortable having stayed in similar places when i was young. The rooms are tremendous and have been recently furbished to a high standard. Breakfast was great and the overall service... More

Excellent well designed accommodation, lots of fine extra thoughtful touches which many hotels lack these days. Lovely furnishings, very clean and comfortable. We had the extremely spacious Room 4 and as well as a hospitality tray, a bowl of assorted fresh fruits was included, chocs, botttled water, bathroom toiletry packs and tissues. Breakfast was very enjoyable with varied choices of... More

Stayed here with my wife in late June 2012. I'm from Great Yarmouth but came back to visit family who hadn't any room for a couple of nights and so for the first time stayed somewhere else. Not at all disappointed, very relaxed atmosphere, quiet 4-poster room, lovely breakfast and very friendly. Close to the town and seafront, you are... More

From arrival to departure absolutely everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and in quality pristine condition, ultra clean, and full of pleasant suprises; eg: fruit bowl/chocs/flowers etc. Breakfast could'nt be faulted, delicious fare served with a smile. But best of all, our host Jane, nothing too much trouble. One big disappointment, having to leave!!!

We stayed at the Merivon for a week ,it is a great place to stay. The rooms are lovely and nothing and we mean nothing is to much trouble for the hosts .The position of the Merivon also is a massive plus with a short stroll to the beach or the centre of town . Its no coincidence that this... More
