We booked this break through Shearings Holidays and after reading other guests comments booked a room with a sea view facing the Pier. The room was on the 2nd floor, not very big but the bathroom needs updating and was not very clean. You have to be an early riser as all you can hear is people walking around in... More

stayed in St George hotel in october as part of a coach party, all staff were frendly and hard working ( all 4 or 5 of them), romms clean but very mixed match of fittings looked as if all junk shops had been targets, in saying that everything was fit for purpose, en-suit had been updated but really small ..no... This was supposed to be a New years Outing four days and three nights coach trip but the Hotel left a lot to be desired. The entertainment especially New years Eve was at a real poor standard, there was no organisation at all, no where to dance, well you could but was like postage stamp dance floor. The meals were good... More

The property is a number of Victorian Terese houses knocked together. Sound proofing is non existent and the heating is noisy. The lift can only be described as "heritage" of 1920s style. But this was really of only a minor problem. Whilst the menu was limited it was of good quality and the staff were excellent, friendly. The bar and... More

This hotel was probably amazing in its heyday! It's just a bit tired and could do with a total refurb... That aside the friendly attentive staff ( Lucas was superb) more than made up for it! The room, although a bit dated was spotlessly clean with crisp white bedding. The evening entertainment was hilarious with a singer ( who appeared... More
