Don't be fooled by the low rankings on Tripadvisor, this place pushes the B&B boundaries. A max of 4 people staying in someone's home. Their rules (no room service, no fried breakfast), but you do get a fresh fruit parfait for breakfast, home baked bread, plus the use of a very comfortable and stylish sitting room. They are welcoming and... More

Without doubt this is the best B and B we have ever stayed in.The welcome is warm and friendly, the rooms are superb and the beds are supremely comfortable. The breakfast is a delight-you come downstairs to the smell of freshly baked bread and croissants wafting through the house. We arrived here tired and footsore after three days walking the Dales Way... More

I spent a delightful four nights in this gorgeous home in Bowness. Louise and Steven were the perfect hosts and Becky (the terrier) is a delight! I spent the first three nights in the Hideaway right at the top of the house which would have been servant quarters in the house's earlier history. I had a lovely big room with... More

Myself and my husband have just returned from a week at Low Fell. Because we were staying for a length of time, Louise kindly allocated us the Hideaway, at the top of the house. This felt very secluded and we almost felt like we had our own little home. The whole house was spotless and beautiful, and Steve, Louise and... More

We received a really warm welcome here - hosts Steve and Louise really made us feel at home. They offered plenty of advice and hints re. places and restaurants to visit and the bedrooms were really comfortable.

A fantastic bed and breakfast with Louise and Stephen Broughton making us so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and they knew how to look after people. The beds produced the best sleep of the holiday!! The breakfast was continental but the best fruit and produce from the area. A huge well done and very restful for 3 days!

You wont get a warmer welcome anywhere. We really were put at ease and made to feel very welcome in this clean and comfortable B&B. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in, and to get up to the smell of freshly made bread each day was just wonderful. The Breakfast was really good and to a... More

This lovely family home is an excellent place to stay especially for first time visitors to the Lakes, just a couple of minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of Bowness as well as the ferry piers connecting you to around windermere lake. Our room at the top of the house was very clean, spacious and cozy warm with a... More

We stayed at Low Fell for 3 nights. The house is a short walk form the Town Centre in its own secluded gardens. Louise , Stephen and Ada are lovely hosts who make you feel at home. You will not miss the "full English" cooked breakfast. Louise & Stephen really look after you and nothing was any trouble. The beds were... More
