Been to the lakes for a weekend and stayed at the hydro hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, lovely bar and communal areas on the ground floor. Just arrived home from running a weekend residential course as the hydro. A hotel with character, where the service is second to none, pleasant staff, plentiful food, fantastic position overlooking Lake Windermere. A family owned gem in the heart of the lake district, a nice change from the contemporary hotel chains. Will b back next year. More
