This large efficiently run owner managed hotel is located close to Bowness on Windermere and makes a good base for exploring the surrounding area. The public rooms are spacious and the dinner & breakfast were very enjoyable - good choice and high standard of food. Bedroom looking tired and in need of refurbishment but adequate for an overnight stay.
