Great friendly family run business with helpful staff. Bar meals or restaurant available, food is excellent. When away from home on business this is a great hotel where it easy to meet similar people. Two minutes from the prom and ideally placed to drive to all parts of the island.

Some of the rooms are named after race courses or horses. I was in Newbury with a view past neighbouring buildings to the sea. I would like to say that we were treated very well at the Ascot Hotel on a recent stay - our room was excellent if not a little too hot, and the breakfast very good. All the staff made us most welcome and nothing appeared to be any trouble.
