Excellent value, fab breakfasts absolutely no noise from road or loud music from anywhere! we didn't see any sign of any night clubs and the location over looking the sea was great. Whitby is a great location for a winter break.

This is second time we've stayed here and now they have their own pub with live bands and good beer it's just got better! The rooms are well equipped and of a good size, the breakfast is well cooked and plentiful and the staff are really friendly What more could you want for a weekend bike trip

Stayed here for the Great North Run - excellent location - especially on way back if you use the South Shields ferry. Warm welcome at the hotel. Had a great two night weekend stay at the Avalon. Room was nice and clean with plenty of room and the staff were great. The Hotel is biker friendly but just as welcoming for a family. The biker memorabilia is very different and great. The street out the front might be a bit noisey at night for any light sleepers... More

Excellent value. Decent, very clean, room. Biker friendly. (The biker theme might not be to everyone's taste.) Terrific breakfast. A very warm welcome.
