Official Description (provided by the hotel):: Oaklands House (for adults only) is situated just outside Sandown, approx. a 10 min walk to Brading village centre and 3 pubs. Our "local" The Yarbridge Inn, is across the road. Oaklands is very relaxed and informal. All our en-suite, air conditioned bedrooms have Freeview TV/DVD/CD, Ipod docks, personal safe, silent refrigerator, hair dryer, tea/coffee making etc. Free WiFi can be accessed throughout the building. Other facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, parking, licensed bar - we also have available a 24 hour honesty bar. We are within yards of one of the IWs quiet roads/cycle routes & can provide safe cycle storage by prior arrangement. Less than 2 miles to nearest golf course (I can provide free loan of Ping/Mizuno RH clubs and also a golf buddy!). Oaklands House is eco friendly and achieved Gold status from Green Island. “Good place to stay”

A really nice little family run hotel. The owners were helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and flexible. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't nice enough for us to use the pool, but it would be a lovely facility on a sunny day. All in all, great value for money and highly recommended.

Had a nice stay here for 4 nights in August. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room was large, clean and well furnished. Jan Mick and Joan run this as a family home-from-home with a genuinely heated pool! It was those little extra touches which made it special, slippers and toiletries supplied, honesty bar, milk, tea, coffee, games, books, dvds all readily available if wanted and I noticed boot cleaner and trouser press.
