We stayed in the Exmoor lodge, which has now been renamed Foxglove, and were really impressed with the clean and fresh smell on arrival. It is perfectly suitable for a couple with a comfortable bed, shower room and well equipped kitchen. The site itself is well laid out and we had a great view over the valley. It is really... More

I stayed here for a week in one of the smaller lodges with my two dogs. I found it clean, bright and airy. The views were to die for, and my lodge was cosy, done out in a fresh, IKEA style. Before I booked, I checked how steep the access to my lodge was because one of my dogs is... More

If you want a nice relaxing break you should consider Grattons Cedar Lodges as a base for exploring the Devon countryside. The site can be found at the top of a fairly steep hill but the views when you get there are stunning. You can also build up a healthy appetite with the walk down to the village to visit... More

Positive After booking I read some very negative reviews. This is a real shame because whilst not without its faults this is a really nice place for a family holiday. It also welcomes dogs. This site is run by a friendly couple with a young child. We were quickly greeted and shown the lodge having arrived at 8pm, just go... More

This appealed to us for the dog friendly accommodation & the reasonable cost! Location was good, we had car so drove around to next towns/villages. The location is steep but for the views from the lodges was fine...there is a lovely dog friendly pub at bottom of hill which serves nice food. The lodges were newly refurbed, had everything you... we booked this as a short break and looked forward to our 4 days away , the dogs also came with us and they seemed to enjoy it, they seemed very interested in the paddock which was next to our lodge which was sat at the top of the hill underneath the trees, trouble was, and this was no ones... My boyfriend and I returned to Gratton's for the second time last week. Unfortunately in our hurry to get away, we had left our towels at home and due to the cold weather we have been having recently, our lodge was a little cold. The owners couldn't do enough for us, supplying us with a few heaters and towels for... More

We wanted to book somewhere quiet with only a few lodges which is why we chose Grattons Cedar Lodges. It's near a tiny village which includes a pub but its a difficult walk back up the bank to the park. The driveway is quite steep and narrow and as we have a van it was a bit of a struggle.Parking... My partner and I booked a last minute getaway at Gratton's Cedar Lodges and stayed for a week commencing 29th December 2012 with our two labradors. Like others, we were a little bit dubious after reading some of the earlier reviews on the Internet and if we'd read some of the negative reviews before making the booking we probably wouldn't... We arranged my Mum's 60th Birthday gathering at these lodges and have to say, the owners made it very easy for us :-))) From the booking, paying, arriving and staying!! We arrived on a Friday lunch time, the views were magnificent, made even more so by the fact we arrived in beautiful weather!! There is quite a steep entrance, but... More
