Situated on the main road between Malton and Pickering. Road noise not an issue as the bedrooms are behind the reception. All in all a very comfortable, clean hotel with a good menu and friendly hosts. Would definately recommend, and will stay again when in North Yorkshire.

Needed a good nights sleep after a couple of days on the road in Northern England when I ran past The Beansheaf just south of Pickering in the North Yorkshre Moors. They had a board out offering rooms for a decent price and it looked ok. Met at reception by a very nice young man who immediately made me feel... More

My partner and I stayed for one night and was greeted at reception by a friendly gentleman who showed us to our rooms and how to operate the heating. The double room was clean, bedsheets/ linen was clean, en- suite was spotless and a very comfy bed. We ordered an evening meal and the menu had a good selection of... More

My first stay at the Beansheaf and although i was worried at first as the whether the rooms would be noisy as its such a busy main room, all the rooms are on the side or the back so very quiet. Very friendly staff and great food and nice that dogs are welcomed in the bar area. Wonderful breakfast too.... More

On our arrival we were warmly greeted and booked in by Norman who then showed us to our room showed us how to adjust the heating and explained meal times for the weekend. Monday breakfast is slightly earlier. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast itself was excellent with plenty of choice. The evening meals were also excellent with plenty... More

A group of 24, booked a christmas party night, and all had a wonderful time. the wine(s) was lovely, when they ask if you want a large glass they mean a large glass, no mean measures here. Food was all served together and was very tasty, i had a vegetable soup for starters, warm bread roll and creamy soup. Beef... More

A group of nine of us stayed for three nights at The Beansheaf which we used as a base for a mountain biking trip to the local area; we are all in our early 30s. I personally think that 'Inn' probably better describes The Beansheaf than that of a hotel, as it seemed to be a fairly family owned and... More

Very spacious and clean room! We were with a group of 14 and we have had a good stay here for one night. Despite the fact that the hotel is direct on the main road to Pickering it was not very noisy. The hotel is about 5 minute drive from Pickering itself so no A-class location. Therefore The high price... More
