We loved this place! The beach, comfy room and bed; fabulous breakfasts and most friendly hosts. Unlike most places boasting oceanfront, this actually is. The hikes to nearby natural attractions were the highlight of our two week holiday in the Maritimes. Seals and Gannets and Bald Eagles, oh my! Lovely ocean view, lovely people. Stay long enough to try Jane... More

This a very comfortable B&B in a lovely location, right on Lawrencetown beach. The rooms are very nice (with jacuzzi and fireplace) and the hosts are gracious and friendly. Breakfasts were waffles or crepes with lots of fresh fruit. In addition to the beach, the Inn is right on the Trans Canada trail, so you can walk for miles. All... More

I actually stumbled on to this property three years ago when I visited Lawerencetown Beach for the first time. The area is beautiful and the beach is lovely on sunny summer days. I love the stormy weather best though. I have stayed twice. I stayed here in September of last year when Hurricane Earl breezed through and August of the... More

First of all, Jane and Cal are wonderful hosts. For those that complained about the property - it is a house on the beach. By definition, B&B's are people's homes that they have decided to share with others. The room we stayed in was average size with a private bath (a bit on the small side but that's what I... More

Cal and Jane were the perfect hosts! They were there if we needed them but completely respected our desire for privacy and family time. We had access to all amenities at no extra charge. The room was clean and offered us everything we needed to enjoy our holiday on a small budget! The water is cold but the view is... More

Having stayed in literally hundreds of hotels and b&bs around the world, this is first time I've been compelled to write a review. Expectations were absolutely not met. For the price (over $180) you'd expect an immaculately clean room, well maintained exteriors, and fantastic breakfast. The room was clean, but hair on the bathroom floor, stains on the carpet, and... My husband and I stayed at the Moonlight Beach Inn in May, 2010. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and couldn't have found a better place to stay. Our first view of the Moonlight Beach Inn was from the top of a hill with the most breathtaking view of the Ocean! We were in love with the Inn from the... More

We have stayed in Bed and Breakfasts in many places in the world and this is the best one. It is best for service , food, luxurious rooms and especially for the treatment given the guest by the hosts. It is right on the ocean and the sunrises and the sunsets beat any we have seen on both sides of... More

My wife and I have stayed here several times. The location is fantastic - overlooking a beautiful sandy beach with broad vistas east and west. Magnificent sunsets and sunrises. This is one of a small cluster of dwellings with provincial park extending along the beach on either side, you feel like you are on a distant isle, yet if you... More

Based on the description in the local travel guide, I was expecting some sort of very nice resort . A quote from the guide... "You will love the private beachfront and walking trails which meander through windswept sand dunes and up onto lofty cliff-tops and headlands exposing magnificent 360 degree panoramic views of the ocean & surrounding lakes". NOT! We... More

It is obvious that this person was not at Moonlight Beach Inn B&B on Lawrencetown Beach in Nova Scotia. We have been operating for 13 years and have welcomed thousands of Guests. We have about 12 guest books full of wonderful comments from guests who have stayed here from all over the world. We have many people who come back... More
