We stayed at this hotel as recent as last week for a couple of nights (17.04.2013) and were very impressed. Originally put off by a family member due to past experience, we went ahead and booked. Apparently the hotel has had £5 million spent on it and wow what a fantastic place. Extremely clean, excellent service, good food and a... More

A group of us stayed here after an afternoon in the spa at Center Parcs. The service was great, the rooms beautifully decorated. Throughout the hotel, there were real fires on the go. Breakfast was good. Lunch was great. Dinner was a bit disappointing. The rooms didn't have alarm clocks, radio or TV. I thought this was great, but not... More

Had a snack lunch which was quickly prepared and of excellent quality in an old coaching inn of real character. Would recommend for a quick stopover if you're in the vicinity. The inn was formerly on the A1 trunk road which has now bypassed Ollerton, the location of the inn.

Nice quiet village setting, plenty of different room sizes and choices at resonable prices. All rooms are decorated to very high standards and all have en suites which is a bonus. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The bar area was very welcoming and the locals are all very friendly also who use it. All food is box... More

Nice quiet location with various sized rooms. They are all decorated to a high standard and have excellent beds. Pleasant staff made the stay enjoyable. Nice cheap bar if you need it and the food was always fresh and hot (although it is standard pub type food) but still enjoyable. Excellant choice at breakfast. Just make sure you bring any... More

I booked three rooms for a business trip to the area. All rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. Food was great and staff very helpful. They even produced breakfast a bit sharp so we could make an early start in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

We did not stay here, just popped in for lunch! There were several good reviews in the visitors book from people who did stay. The outside of the Hotel has just had a face lift & looks very smart. I enjoyed wandering around downstairs, very olde worlde. Would look magical at Christmas with traditional decorations & well placed fairy lights.... More

Stayed on business, rooms comfortable and clean, staff were helpful and polite..Breakfast was well put together and looked like a one person operation, so hats off to the young lad who seemed to cope very well.Quirky inside as rooms refurnished as looked originally as a hunting lodge with lots of paraphernalia. The bar is open evenings and serves local cheap beer, which is... More

In early July We booked 8 rooms at this hotel. We had e mail confirmation and had provided credti card details. When we arrived we were told they did not have rooms for us and were completely full. The manager was incredibly unhelpful taking the position that in was "tough luck". Later we wrote to the owners Oliver and Humphrey... More

My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding and we were really pleased with our room. We booked the bridal/honeymoon suite for £100, although his parents booked standard rooms for about £70. The hotel very kindly allowed my husband and his parents early access to the rooms so they could get ready for the wedding and there... More
