It was evident that the management was 'hands on; Comfortable and clean - good food and good service. Only one minor problem: The shower head was fixed - not very easy for a guest with mobility problems.

I visited the restaurant only, as part of a celebration dinner. Service and quality were spot on. The location is outstanding and worth getting the satnav or map out to find it (It's very much in the countryside). We have stayed at Gibbon Bridge on many occasions and it never fails to amaze us. The attention to detail paid by its owner Janet Simpson and her staff is second to none, Clean Comfortable rooms, superb food, and gardens which are amazing even after such a bad winter. Will we return to this gem agan, you bet we will.

I made a late decision to attend the wine tasting and do not regret it. I was allocated a room in the annexe which was in an excellent state if a little overheated. Paid a lot of money for a birthday treat. Food and staff were great but the room was a big let down: thick dust, scorching hot shower that could not be changed (told to use gym showers if necessary), bubbles not working in bath. Our second visit here. The Hotel is set in a great location. It has beautiful grounds and could be very good. However the room we stayed in was well past it's best. Not a bad size but dated and the bathroom was in a pretty average condition. I cannot stand Hotels that have rules plastered everywhere and unfortunately this one... More
