On a first time visit to Brescia, I lodged at the Albergo Orologio--a 15 minute walk from train station--but central to the main sites on foot and easy access to many great dining choices and shopping area. Hotel staff very friendly and offered good advice on happenings and near-by attractions and how to get there. Rooms vary in size but... More

Was in Brescia for business and was charmed by the historical sights. This hotel puts you right in the middle of the old town in perfect location to wander around. Very friendly staff with great English. Good breakfast. Only complaint was that internet in the room did not work and this was extremely inconvenient for me. Internet in common area... More

Not the easiest hotels to find, especially if arriving by car. However once there the location is excellent. All major sites, shops and restaurants within easy reach. Friendly, helpful staff, who recommended Osteria Bianchi for dinner - very good. Nice selection at breakfast. Good products, dressing gown and slippers - more like 4 star. Only complaints would be lack of... More

Albergo Orologio is THE most charming and delightful hotel we have stayed in during our many trips to Italy. The reception staff, Roberta and Daniela, took excellent care of us. They suggested fabulous restaurants and gave us explicit directions on how to get around in the city. We felt like we were leaving very good friends after our four night... More

Having been to Italy countless times, and probably stayed at some 30-40's 3-5 star hotels, we know the differences between the Italian hotel's star ratings. Having arrived from Mantova by train, we took a short cab ride to the Hotel's pedestrianized entrance, 9 euros. Greeted by Ms Valerie and she was all smiles, very welcoming indeed! She led us to... We love this place as it was a short ride via taxi from the train and almost right on the piazza duomo. There were lots of good places near by to eat and the two rooms we had were comfy and clean. English was spoken in front and I will stay here again the next visit to Brescia More

I can only add to the praise for this small, cozy and well-run hotel. The good service began with the online booking, which we had to modify a few times before we traveled. The staff always answered promptly and with great patience (and in English). The welcome was friendly, the room clean and air-conditioned (34 degrees outside, so most appreciated).... More

After a couple aperitif taken while watching a wedding ceremony at Duomo Vecchio, in Piazza Paolo VI, we walked the 100 metres or so to Albergo Orologio to book in. My thirty words of poor Italian were not needed as the receptionist spoke excellent English and immediately made my wife and I very welcome. Although the hotel was very full... More

We stayed in Brescia for five days at the end of June 2008. I chose this city as a convient place from where it is easy to get everywhere in northern Italy. The hotel is idealy located in the old city but in wlakble distance to the railway station. As a side note, I would advise to avoid Brescia rail... More

My family of four (mom, dad, two kids under 10) booked this hotel as it seemed a good distance from Milan on our way to Venice. Our first time driving in Italy was interesting, fun, and a bit hectic. The autostrade is nothing - the streets of Brescia are another thing altogether! Fortunately, these wonderful hotel keepers will take your... More
