The hotel is rather modern and all works well. It is not luxurious but very comfortable. If you like to walk to Montepulciano, there is a steep road (via San Biagio) that takes you to one of the city's entrances. You can of course drive up there. Breakfast is included and it is very good. Service is excellent - friendly... More

We spent 2 nights at this Hotel in Montelpulciano. It was very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely room with a balcony with a beautiful view. The breakfasts are fantastic with loads of wonderful pastries to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided us with lots of information about the area. We would definately return... More

We attended a wedding at a neighboring property and simply picked this hotel only for it's location, but were truly surpised. The hotel is right outside the city walls with breathtaking views of the Montepulciano countryside. The owner and family are more then accomodating and loved to share a little coversation...And a little vino nobile. The rooms were clean, spacious... More

We decided to stay in this hotel for the duration of our time in Tuscany as we had heard Montepulciano was a good location for this. The hotel is not five star but rooms were very clean. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were typical of Italian breakfasts. My husband was pleased they made real espresso as well.... More

We stayed here twice, at the start and finish of a walking holiday. It's a fairly standard Italian 3-star, the rooms clean and comfortable though not outstanding. Unusually, there is a bath-tub in every room but the shower is inside the tub, with no screen or curtain, which is awkward. Also unusually, the hotel has an indoor pool and jacuzzi,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and what a great place. It's at the bottom of the hill and about a 15 mins walk up to Montepulciano. If you walk up to Montepulciano go past the San biagio church and head straight up the hill. This is the quickest and the easiest way. There is also a bus stop right... More

This was the first stop on and eight night walking holiday in Tuscany. We stayed here on the first night of our holiday and on the last night. The trip was part of Headwater's Secrets of Tuscay walking holiday. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and sampled the local wine whilst the rep gave us a briefing... More

The Hotel San Biagio is just outside of Montepulciano and has views that are beyond description. The rooms are small but not too much so. The breakfast was excellent and the whole atmosphere was relaxed. The owner gave outstanding restaurant recommendations to places that were within half a mile. La Grotta and Il Covo were the two places. (La Grotta... More

I had such a great time in Albergo San Biagio! The location is wonderful, just facing the baroque cathedral of San Biagio and the old city! The hotel is super clean, with confortable rooms with balcony facing the countryside and a swimming pool to cool down from the summer heat of tuscany or just to relax. Gianna and Gian Carlo... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel, a 5 minute drive outside of Montepulciano (15 minute walk or so) and considered it one of our best stays in Italy. The location was excellent, as Montepulciano was a mere few minutes away, and it was on the road to Pienza and Montalcino, two of the closest hilltowns.... More
