We had spent the week in Tuscany and were leaving from Rome the next day. All the Rome hotels seemed to be full, so we stayed in this hotel in Orvieto -- about 1.5 hours north of Rome. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are off-putting - it's right on the highway and not anywhere near the scenic historic part... more
Stayed there for one night on the way to Orvieto. Hotel is about 10 minutes driving distance to the old city. Hotel was very basic and spartan, right off the highway and next to a railroad (no train stop nearby, thought). Room was fairly clean and breakfast ok.
