We came for a couple of days, not knowing where we would go next in the area. We eventually stayed there for the whole week ! L'Ombricolo is a beautifully decorated country house marrying Italian architecture style and English antiques. The owner is an English lady who made our stay a dream. We had wonderful breakfasts with all kind of... More

Pia (my soulmate and poodle) have stayed many times over the past few years. There's always a home from home welcome (usually after a long drive) and Pia rushes to 'her' bedroom on arrival - over joyed to be back! My priority is more likely to be a long soak in the bath and one of Dawne's delicious dinners washed... More

After a recommendation from a friend, we emailed Dawne on Thursday to come down on Sunday for two nights. We asked if our little dog would be welcome and we were told that she was more than welcome and she has a couple of dogs and some cats on the property. We arrived in the afternoon and this woman showed... More

We stayed at L'Ombricolo for 4 nights in September 2011 and can't recommend it highly enough. It's in a stunning location and has been renovated to a high standard in a very comfortable rather than chic style. The owner, Dawne, could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. She cooked the most delicious meals and ate with us which... More

Dawne is an excellent cook. Splurge for dinner and you won't regret it. L'Ombricolo is a peaceful place off the beaten track with easy access to many wonderful sights. (Civita di Bagnoregio is one to visit....but don't forget the Monster Park in Bomarzo!) Belinda and Luna will welcome you as only the best 4-legged friends can. They are lovely, well-behaved... More

We spent a few days at L'Ombricolo over Easter 2010. L'Ombricolo it's a great country house, renovated with taste and care over the years by Dawne who is an excellent and extremely caring host. We were treated to great breakfasts and dinners. The house is in a beautiful spot of the italian countryside right at the boundary between Lazio, Tuscany... More

We arrived in L'Ombricolo after a long and tiresome journey to a gem of a place. The welcome was warm and inviting and the house was beautiful, with views to die for. We stayed for two nights and ate with Dawne, whose cooking skills are second to none. We thorougly recommend this place to anybody wishing for a relaxing stay... More

If you are looking for an anonymous hotel then this is not the place for you. If however, you want to stay somewhere a little different then this is the place. The atmosphere is relaxed and home from home with most conversations taking place around the kitchen table! Dinner has a real dinner party atmosphere, providing the opportunity to mix... More

This guest house is not only gorgeous (it has been featured in Architectural Digest and Karen Brown's Romantic Inns for good reason), but very comfortable and peaceful. The website pictures are very accurate. The bathroom was very modern and came equipped with a fluffy bathrobe-a touch I always appreciate. The hostess Dawne is very welcoming and is a terrific cook... More

My wife and I along with my brother and sister-in-law made a brief stop at L'Ombricolo on our intense two-week whirlwind Italy tour. We were in this part of the country primarily to visit the dying city, Civita di Bagnoregio, which was a sublime experience for all of us. We arrived a little late on the first night, but our...
